Cool 87 Suburban need help

Someone told me if I take the fuel lines off at the throttle body and turn the key that gas should come out of them. Is this true, because mine isn't doing that and I need to get this thing running. 87 Suburban half ton 350 4wd.

Yes, it's true. Could be a bad fuel pump, or wiring going to it.

Welcome to the board from western n.c. If you take a hammer and (smack) your tank and it will start, fuel pump...The fuel pump relay is under the hood ,bolted to the fire wall..and there is a in line fuse near it too...Try these 3 things...it has to be simple...And could be a lost ground or broken wire near the tank too..Common Hope this helps,Erick

Bob there is a great one when it comes to burbs too...

Does anyone know where fuel pump fuse is? Fuel pump Relay? I can't find it. On 93 Suburban it is bolted to the firewall on the left. But in the 87 nothing is their and i can't find it.
