Re: Caption Needed

Back in the '80s, one of my work friends had a house that was about 12 feet below street level. There was a cistern in the street that had a pump which pumped the sewage up over the hill, up until it didn't. The downstairs toilet spewed sewage until the first floor had about a 6 inch level, when his son figured out to open the sliding glass door into the back yard. He had to sue the city to get the mess cleaned up. He asked me to help him replace the bottom drywall where it was all moldy, but I passed on that, being allergic to mold...never mind the saturation level of sewage. It happened to him twice. Maybe more, since I haven't seen him in about 7 years. Crazy.

You beat me to it!

Years ago I rented a room in my buddy's house. It had one bathroom and we had a big party one night. Well you guessed it...The crapper overflowed fortunately just water (I hope) about 2 inches deep on the whole floor. I told him since it was his house and I didn't want to clean it. He was about 3 sheets to the wind by then and said to just drill holes in the floor.
