Howdy Folks

Dang, wish I'd found this site a few years ago, would've come in handy. I bought a '58 a few years ago while I was still in high school for $1500. Probably wasn't worth it with all the rust on the lower cab, but I don't really regret it. Whoever had it before me swapped in an Olds 350/TH-400/10-bolt rearend along with a '56 doghouse. Unfortunately, I had to scrap all of it except for the hood, so right now I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the '56 or '58. I think the tri-five look will win out eventually. Oh yeah, she's also a custom cab with a shortbed stepside.

I'm originally from Tennessee, but right now I'm going to a car school called Wyotech near Pittsburgh, so unfortunately I won't have any pictures of the truck for a while. If nothing comes up, I should have it up here in a little over 5 months to finally start working on. I'm planning on completing it for $10,000, but if I know projects, that figure will definitely go out the window.

Welcome to the board from West Tennessee. Good luck on your truck whatever year it turns into. We have a few trucks here that are built from parts from different years. We are not purist so build with what you got. What part of Tennessee are you from.
