I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SHAVING MY DRIP RAILS HOWEVER I DRIVE THE TRUCK RAIN OR SHINE. ANY OF YOU OTHER'S OUT THERE SHAVE YOUR DRIP RAIL? WHAT PROBLEMS DID YOU HAVE? I KNOW THAT IT HAS TO BE DONE IN SLOW SECTIONS, BUT AFTER THE SHAVING PROCESS ANY ONE HAVE PROBLEM WITH RAIN OR WIND? GETTING INTO THE CAB. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

My .02 cents is not to do it. It appears to be a major amount of work...I have been watching Lost Wages do this to his cab and for a daily driver it seems like a little too much. Not to mention the rain running down everytime you open the door. Lost Wages may never get his done as I keep him busy working on my truck, but maybe he can provide you some pictures.

I thought about doing this when i had my truck painted 3 years ago, and I decided not to after talking to my body guy. He said that it will weaken the roof..bla bla bla. I still wish I would have done it. would look sooo much smoother. I would think you could just cut it off, weld, grind and smooth. I'd think that if you have a good welder, he'd be able to seal it so you don't have rain/wind coming in while driving. As for water getting in when you open the door...the water will just run off since you'll have a good wax job on it and it won't hurt anything anyways.

In short, I'd go for it.

i think it looks awesome, but for a daily driver id never do it, not real practical by the sounds of things
