Post 68 3/4 4x4 Front Brake Hoses

Need a set of front brake hoses for a 68 3/4 4x4. NAPA says N/A, GMCPaul, and LMC do not have them listed either. Anyone know a source or an alternative part number?
Thanks

Inline only has stainless steel braded lines and they are a bit pricey ($115). I would like to find some rubber ones for less money if possible. Any other sources?

Are you sure that in-line tube doesnt have
the rubber version, they say its available
in there catalog. You do mean the flex line
correct.
American Classic has one listed in there
catalog p/n BR1998 68-70 4x4 1/2 or 3/4T
rear for 35.00

OOPS! I see you ask for fronts!
Classicindustries list one for the front
as well 68-70 3/4T 4x4 as FH112 24.00 each!

Goodluck

Sorry Erl,
I browsed thru most of my catalogs...
and didnt find anything. The only thing
I can think of is: If you still have your
old original, maybe you can ask inline
tube if they can duplicated it -or- maybe
classictube can...I dont really know. Keep
asking on the board, someone has to have
been in the same situation.

You could use the ones from a 73' and later 4x4 as long as you use the bolt you took out of yours , but grind off a little bit, since the newer style brass fitting is a bit thinner. This is what I did on my 71'.

I had the same problem and the only way that I was able to solve it was to replace the drum brake frontend with a disc setup!

Thumbs down

Raybestos is a big N/A as well. I don't know, but there is a NAPA by me that will make brake hoses, a/c lines, ect for you. They take the same style ends for you, and put hose in between them for ya.

Erl, If you can't find them anywhere and would settle for used hoses, I have the ones that came off my 67 4x4, I think they are the same. They worked fine when I removed them.

Let me know if interested..........

Exclamation

Helpful info?

The wheel cylinders from a K10, and a K20 in the front are the SAME. So, that end of the hose would be the same, correct me if I'm wrong. Hhhhmmmmm, i just noticed that there are no brake hosses for K10's either.....hhhmmmm.

Ok!!!!! 1974-1976 Jeep Cherokee's also use the same front wheel cylinders!! And guess what??? They still make front hoses for them!! The Raybestos # is.......

BH36800

If some one with a 67-70 4x4 could mayby get one of these and see if they will work on our trucks, that would be awesome!! If I had a 67-70 4x4, i would do it myself.

I am putting a power brake booster on my truck and wanted to replace all the rubber hoses. That is what started this discussion. When I purge the brake system I will see if the cherokee hose will match. I will post the results, good or bad.
