Need Roll bar Help

I got part of the roll bar, now I need the rest of it going from the part behind the seats to the floor pan/windshield frame. Anyone have a suggestion/supplier for this part of the roll bar? I'm going to use the bar to also straighten my windshield frame as it is a little tweaked from my refurbishing. Any help would be great! Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Need Roll bar Help

You can get the tubing from a local steel supplier, get a muffler shop to bend
it and weld it in, and then paint or powdercoat it to match what you have

Re: Need Roll bar Help

Isn't there a company called S&W Racing that sells roll bars & cages?

Re: Need Roll bar Help

Luv, do you think the muffler shop would be able to bend it pretty straight? I mean as far as keeping the thing square so I get the windshield frame squared up? Thanks guys, Jeff.

Re: Need Roll bar Help

My buddy bent one up for a Mu$tang using the pipe the owner
supplied, then welded it all in, it looked killer, smooth bends, &
everything looked really square like it was a pre-bent kit, but..
he is really good at custom exhaust, not every muffler shop is.

Re: Need Roll bar Help

Did you see the family cage for sale on ebay? It is in the SF area. It might be worth a road trip.

Re: Need Roll bar Help

Dang, that would be the way to go. Too bad I'm going to be gone for about 5weeks. Course, I'd have to drive the Blazer down there to get it, and its not ready for that either. May have to see what kind of custom muffler guys are in the area when I get back.

Re: Need Roll bar Help

this is just my opinion.........muffler tube if muffler tube...pipe is pipe.....roll bar tubing is roll bar tubing. It takes the correct tools to properly bend any of these....and they all have there place. BUT muffler tubing will not protect you if you were to ever use the roll bar.....unless you use it to vent exhaust gas'. Im not trying to beat you up on this but safety is safety....find someone who will bend you some tube (erw or hrew are great choices and are cheap enough).

Re: Need Roll bar Help

Thanks for the designations on the pipe Oneton. I didn't know what they were. I was only thinking Muffler shop for pipe bending though. I wouldn't trust exhaust tubing to protect me from a hail storm...

Most local metal suppliers should know what those pipe designations are right? Thanks, Jeff.

Exactly, my buddy will NOT let someone use muffler pipe, they have to supply
their own pipe and he will just bend it up and weld it, the example above was
4130? chromolly tubing? or something like that, is was actually real cage tube.
