89 Burb..no fuel from injectors! Need help!

My wife was driving the 89 burb 4wd today and it just shut off on her.

I have narrowed it down to no fuel from the injectors, they have just shut off. I have fuel up to them (checked that)..but they are not firing.

Does anyone know what would shut down the injectors? I know on my 91 Olds it has a low oil shut off, but I didn't think the burb had that??

Any thoughts, or ideas?

thanks

you might check to make sure the wiring at the plug is intact. Also, check the oil pressure gauge. the sending unit for the oil pressure gauge also has a low pressure switch on it, and will kill electricity to the pump on an EFI truck.

Yeah...the pump is running fine..I already checked that...but I did find out that the Ignition Control Module can go bad and when that happends, it doesnt send a signal to the ECM to tell it to fire the injectors.

I am going to check the ICM tomorrow, by swapping it out with another and see if that solves the problem.

Well, the ICM didn't fix the problem...it was in the dist. it's-self. The magnetic pickup on the dist must have gone bad...took a new dist. to fix the problem.

So it's fixed... but it cost me $100 bucks

Cause it provides a reference to the ecm to fire the injectors. ECM controls the ground circuit on the injector
