new guy

he there i`m Lawrence..i have been running chevy trucks for most of my driving life..i`m driving a 46 gmc right now every day.. i do have a 70 3/4 ton that is in need of brake work...i`m hoping someone can point me in the right direction for master cylinder plungers/rubbers...i dont want to buy a rebuild kit.. i have rebuilt may masters with just rubbers..now i cant seem to find them..can anyone help

i have a master here now that i was running under the floor of my 45 gmc.. i didnt have a proper boot over the end and i guess a grain of sand got in a put a small scratch in the bore..just enough to cause a leak..i know back in the day i could of went to any parts store and got a new rubber for about $1..does no one carry rubbers anymore?

Welcome to the board from south Alabama,and good luck finding anybody that still sells them. Around here there used to be a couple of old parts stores that could get you anything you wanted,but no more. They have been replaced with the quicky parts stores that can't get you a spark plug without the engine serial # and the plant the vehicle was built in.
