Well this little project of mine has been in the works for over a year now so I guess its about time for a build thread.

Here are some pictures of what it looked like when I bought it.

I bought these in may of 2011. I thought I was being unique but came to find out a lot of people have done this.

Put some drop shackles on it. My title says "Bagged" so needless to say i got the bug.... Was not even close to low enough.

unfortunately the bug that is bagged trucks is very contagious....it happens to the best of us!!

Almost a year ago to the day my tired old 305 threw a rod. I elected to go the crate 350 route. Here are some pictures of that whole process.

A few more. The first picture is of the old 305 and the second is the 350 before I dropped it back in. Once I get some more money ill dress it up a little bit.

Here are some pictures of the rear with the bed off. I am going to be running an Air Over Leaf system in the rear. I have DJM flip kit with 2 inch blocks and a 2 inch drop shackle. I also removed two leafs.

Got my AOL kit. Put some d2600 bags in the front with cup and plate from thorbros. Need to order some drop spindles and the front will just about complete. Also removed my inner fenders. Should be putting the AOL kit on in a couple days.

looks good 82swb....im curious to see how you will use the aluminum blocks in the rear...you may end up welding a 2x3 square tube to the flip kit. that worked out great for me..make sure you have an angle finder if you do it that way. get the angles close to perfect...i have zero vibration

Thanks. I have already installed everything in the rear, including the blocks. Do you think they are not sufficient? I'll post some pictures of the rear set up tomorrow.

what i was wondering is how a center pinned block would work in the offset located flip hole. if you got them to work, that's awesome. it was one of the roadblocks i had and i decided to weld square tubing to mine. im wondering if your pinion is close to correct. i would think that if the flip was set up for a close to perfect pinion, that if you put a block in there it would throw it off. but then again it may be like adding a lowering block to a stock suspension....not being enough to throw it off. anyway, it looks like your moving along pretty good and im looking forward to more pics....good job so far. as for the c notch, i think you should look into the mcgaughy bolt in notch. maybe bolt it in, weld around it, take the bolts out then weld the holes....they give you lots of clearance from pics ive seen....i wish i would have gone with one

okndnx: the wheels are off of an 02-08 dodge ram. I sent you a pm with some information about the adapters i am running and some more info on the rims. Let me know if you have or haven't gotten that.

Here is a picture of the adapters I am running, where it sits in the rear (Note i have yet to notch the rear so that will drop it another 2-3 inches), and some grommets and 1/4" zinc plated, rubber lined brackets I bought from lowes for plumbing my air lines, an idea i got from tcb-1.

Oh and i am running 255 50 20 in the front and 275 55 20 in the rear, soon to be swapped for 255 50 20's. The only reason i have the 275 55's on the rear is because that's how i bought them.

hey 82swb, looks like you are moving along pretty quickly and getting a lot done.

is there another way you can keep the brake line from rubbing the bags? i see you have the line between the frame and bracket. im thinking its binding too much....but im not really sure what else would work in that case...i'll keep thinking

also, im really thinking the lowering block looks a little unsafe since half the block isnt supporting anything. im really thinking that is going to create a problem. if it were a steel block, you could weld it to the flip...or i would suggest using 2x3 square tubing and all you would need to do is weld it to the flip and drill a hole for the pinion pin

remember, im only trying to help, so dont shoot me...id hate for it to come apart on ya and cause a wreck, because i want to sweet it turns out

I appreciate your input. I am planning on going about the lowering block a different way. I agree it is unsafe. I like the 2x3 tubing idea. And on the brake line note, I couldn't think of another way and (correct me if I'm wrong n2trux) this is how I saw it done in one of his pictures. The line is in between the bracket and the leaf.
