I've got one for sale for $75.00 plus shipping. Check the parts board, or PM me.

Cheers,
David

I look for ones from the late 70's to early 80's at the swap meets or pick your own parts yard. Get one with the round choke & no electronics except electric choke. You can buy them for $5 to $10. A kit & float are about $35. If it doesn't have an electric choke you can usually find one in a 2 barrel at the pick your own parts yard.

Re: Stock Carburetor??

An SMI carb will cost a little more, maybe a lot more, but he'll calibrate it for your engine, a job you'll have to do yourself if you buy a new, parts-store re-man, or used unit. Unless you're lucky enough to get one that came on a motor just like yours. Watch out for carbs that came on engines with EGR, because they'll be too lean at part-throttle and that will cause excessive pinging.

Beware of new carbs. I bought a brand new Q-jet from Rochester that was supposedly for a '72 Nova w/350, but it ran like crap on my '72 Nova w/350. I had the original carb rebuilt locally, and now it works like new.

Re: Stock Carburetor??

you can pick up reman's at the local parts store...but i would suggest buying a "busted"one and having a local shadtree rebuild it for ya....I have reman'd and although it seems to work well, a buddy of mine showed me a few shortcuts they took
