Helix Power Tower

This is a little off the subject, but has anybody ever tried the Helix Power Tower on a late model 5.7 Vortec engine?

I'm more than a little skeptical about the 20 hp and 6 mpg increase that they claim.

I can see how increasing intake air velocity may help atomize the mixture a little better, but that seems far fetched to me.
