Will a 35 series tire be ok on a suburban?

I am buying new tires and starting to think that the 35 series tire might be a little on the small side. You do you guys running a 35 series tire think? Tires are 265/35/22 and was thinking to go with 265/40/22

Re: Will a 35 series tire be ok on a suburban?

35 seems to be a good size for suburbans
On my R2500 3/4 ton, it uses a 235/85R16 stock size which is pretty close to the same height as a 35" if I remember right.
Using this site: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
it shows that the 265/35 is still a touch shorter than the 235/85R16. The 265/40 is only about 1-1/2" shorter than the 235/85....

you shouldn't notice too much difference between the two so might as well stick with what you have. The only thing you gain is about 1/2" of sidewall/radius and maybe another 1" total tire height
