The bennies of HEI

I took my '67 C20 for it's first long drive (after installing HEI) yesterday to pick up 1-1/2 tons of wall block and managed 12-1/2 mpg! My previous best was 8 mpg. Needless to say I'm quite pleased. Now I understand why the C20 Camper Special has 456 gears in the ass end. Hauling that load up and down some hilly road was fairly easy.

I shore do love my truck!!
