cab trim
does anybody know how to attach the cab trim for separating the white roof from the lower part of a 2 tone truck. my truck does not have the trim now, but i am thinking about painting the roof white and need to know my options before painting

It takes the nail head thingys that are part of the cab. A plastic clip with a keyhole disign slides over them then the moulding snaps onto them. You can also by the clips and screw them in.

Does anyone know how to remove the paint divider without damage so it could be reused?

I'm leaving mine on because I'm thnking of replacing the chrome strip divider on my 68. It really doesn't detract from the looks.
If it was going to be a show type truck, I think it may be possible to simply clip them off with a strong wire/nail cutter and then gently grind them down. I have one or two that broke off and they broke off cleanly and even with the cab... |

If you do not originally have the trim on your truck you need
67-72 Cab Rear Paint Divider Screw Stud Set which screws into back of cab metal so that you can then use the 67-72 Cab Rear Paint Divider Clip Set to install the trim. You'll find both on the following page of our web site http://www.gmcpauls.com/trim_clips.htm GMCPaul |

I had mine removed. I painted everything red.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

My truck did not have the divider trim, and I used #10 screws to attach the plastic trim clips. It was GMCPaul that gave me the measurements of the screw locations. Worked out great...
