Question Weight of my truck

I took some aluminum cans to a salvage for my kids school and the empty weight was 5,670. That was with me in it (175) and a fuel tank of fuel. Course my tires are heavy and the flat bed is a bit heavier than the stock bed, but does that sound a bit high?

I think mine was weighed in at 4000, with me in the cab...about 3700 without me...LOL That might be right. These trucks sure aren't light.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.

My brother who owned my truck before I did weighed my 1970 C/20 LWB in 2000 and it came to 5120lbs. Not sure if he was in it and wether or not both tanks were full but thats one heavy truck!

My short bed GMC weighs in at 4000 pounds without me. I can't remember how much gas I had, but it was probably almost empty...like normal.

Thats about right for a 20 series 4x4, with flatbed. My 78 4x4 tips the scales about 5500 empty,& also has a flat bed. all that extra drive line stuff makes a big diff!

My 68 c 20 weighs 4520 with 5 gollons of gas and without me. Iv'e had quite a few cars that weighed a good bit more than that so I really don't consider that heavy.

I met Yukon on the highway south of Wichita yesterday, and that truck was about dragging the ground with all that weight. Just kiddin', he-hee! I got a kick out of seeing that yellow truck coming down the road, only bad thing was I was with a friend, and he didn't see me waving at him.

Just ran to the dump today, and empty with me in it (250) and a full tank of gas, mine weighed in at 4480. Always thought the C10 LWB were lighter than that.
