Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

The CE in the serial # indicates a v8. The 327 would show up on the spid I believe. Looks like some good options though.

Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

ok, thanks. it's a rust bucket but a good candidate to save it..........

bed is shot, rockers shot, door look ok.....doesn't appear to be molested too badly. Not as good as my boys truck, that's for sure.

IDK................we'll see

has a rear cargo light also, idk if that what added........

Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

Should have bucket seats and no cargo light if still original. Should also have a small back window. A lot can change in that many years.

Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

if it's not salvageable it would be a good parts truck at least. that's a long drive though. ask if he's got "the old split bench seat" you never know.

I believe a 283 would have been standard in 67

283 or 327 for the v-8's in 67.

By the spid it looks like a good builder.

casting # is 3970010

from what I can tell that's a 327 block.....trying to get the deck code.....

I agree, would be cool with a 4spd without a creeper for a fast, low truck!

I think I can get plenty of horses out of that 327.......

Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

price is way off being that rusty at least out west, not sure about your area. sure would make an awesome truck restored to factory specs.

Re: Looking at a 67 truck.....

Looks like at least the top end is newer. 1. The heads have accessory holes. 2. Intake doesn't have an oil fill tube, and does have the mount for the alternator bracket used with long water pumps. 3. Valve covers and air cleaner are definitely newer.

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a rusty parts truck
