The truth
I don't have no high end system in my 71 chevy truck but I want to know if putting this stuff inside the doors would be worth it. I have the floor already done with some insulation + jut + carpet. I think the floor is OK. What about the doors and the back wall of the cab?

Any added sound deadening will help. Why exactly are you thinking about putting more in your truck? Is it because the noise level of your interior is too high, are you trying to make your sound system perform better, or ?

I have sound deadening on my floor, and in my doors. Reduces exterior road noise very nicely when cruising. I do have a high end stereo system in my '69, so I wanted the extra sound reduction.
Honestly, the floor is good enough. Most people do the doors and back of the cab because they want to, but it's really not needed.

Just for the roadnoise I guess. I don't have door speaker's any more so I was just thinking it may help some with the outside noise and cooling & heating also.

I have the stuff everywhere you can imagine. It's only real use is for sound deadening. Thermal insulation is minimal at best.

i have 144 sq ft of dynamat...1972 blazer w/ the top off and its a quiet ride with minimal rattles.

i put the home depot house siding stuff on my floors, back wall, and kicks. i later added it to the doors, and it did make the truck quieter and you get a nice solid thud when you shut the door.
