Re: What vaccum lines can i eliminate?
Well you can remove nearly all of them but if you have an air pump your gonging to have to remove the belt after removing all the vac lines so it doesent blow the mufflers out by poping out the exh. The only lines you need are brakes, vacuum advance and heater/ac vacuum if applicable.

Re: What vaccum lines can i eliminate?
I have a 85 with a 305. Here is what I have hooked up, It was mentioned before, but I'll do it again. I have the vacuum advance, line from the PCV, and the brake booster line to the carb (brake booster on mine is a hard line that screws into the back), and I have the heater+A/C line (it's a little plastic one going into the firewall) hooked into the intake. Don't forget to remove your smog pump as stated before and use plugs or something to block off all open vacuum line holes on the carb and intake after you are done. I forgot to do that and my truck ran like crap until I got all of the ports blocked off, and I do mean ALL of them. Truck runs great now, I did find that for some reason I needed a tune up after removing all the emissons stuff. It was no biggie since it was time to do one anyway.
