radio help

looking to retro stock radio for 68 truck. Was there a am/fm radio offered or was it just am. I know it does not really matter but have choice of either or so just wondering. About when did the am/fm become avail. for trucks. The radios i have seen have the band selector slide left and right on top of the face. Thanks Gary

Re: radio help

from looking at the stock radio that came with my truck I would say that it was only AM.

Re: radio help

I think they didn't put them in trucks until 73, but I could be wrong. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the early camaros had them as an option, but again, I could be wrong about that too.

AM/FM was available for our trucks but I don't know what year it started.

www.retrosoundusa.com
I installed one of these in a 71 Blazer, and sounded good, and looked very factory.

I was thinking 1970, but 1971 might be correct.
