Front Drivshaft Options

Delima - Have a 205 case and a stock 1310 front driveshaft with the cv joint. Want to run 1350 u-joints all around (front and rear).

I dont believe a driveshaft without the cv joint will clear the factory crossmember, will it ??

I am only running 6-7'' of lift

Would like to use the flange type that has the 4 bolts that come in from the front.

What are you guys running that have 1350 u-joints

thanks guys

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

My rear is 1350 w/flange & CV (1410 Diff yoke)

Front is still 1310 w/CV

I would guess a driveline shop like HighAngle or Tom Woods or the like, could set you up with 1350 front. If/when I destroy my 1310 setup I want to step up to 1350..but I'm sure to do it right I'm looking at 500 bucks or so...

Do you have a D60 front? Duno if they make a D44/10bolt 1350 yoke?

I would try and keep the CV inplace...
Good Luck

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

Yes, Dana 60 front, it appears I might have to go back to my 1310 setup or switch out the front output to a 30 spline, currently have the 10 spline front output. ?

I better run a driveshaft loop so when the 1310 breaks it doesn't take out the oil pan too

Let em know what you guys are running!!

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

Use a Ford 32 spline front output with a rear 205 1350 yoke or 32 spline flange from the front of a 208.I'm goin to run the 1350 when I get my doubler together.

I just dealt with him 2 days ago. He whipped up 2 all new shafts in about an hour. Super clean work!

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

I have heard of running that Ford output shaft problem is, where do I find one. these cases are indesturctable so there are not many out threre peoplea are parting out I would think. Does the entire case have to come apart to change this out???

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

You just have to take the ps side of the case apart, really simple to do.I might have another shaft if you want me to look.

Re: Front Drivshaft Options

1-Tonmudder - Absolutley, if you have one let me know what you want for it and we can discuss. Would this be the Ford 32 spline that you have?

Thanks
