Well I took the plunge and decided to take on a few of the many things I want to do to my truck. I purchased a moog kit that included ball joints, tie rods, idler, pitman etc. I then took the front apart. Well I found that I need to replace most of it. I go online and to catalogs and then... I need some help if y'all were buying these parts below what and where would you get them?

Springs
Shocks
UCA and LCA
Ubolts
Drum brakes

I forgot to mention it will be mid-level. I would like to keep it as it would be from the factory.

I'd try Rock Auto for the springs and maybe the u-bolts. Possibly the drums too.

You need new LCA and UCA? Too rusty to reuse?

Shocks will depend on how good you want. If middle-of-the-road, RA might be good there too.

Somebody here might be able to float you a RA discount code.

Thank you - does anyone have an RA code? The UCA and LCA maybe salvage able but not sure. The bushings all have to be replasted and they have a bunch of surface rust. I would need to blast and paint them. The guy I talked to wanted $100 to blast them. I was getting them PC wanted them to look original like the rest of the parts I bought.

Make sure you get the right springs, IE light duty or heavy duty based on what you see in your SPID. I did not and my alignment is poor. I have the heavy duty option and got the light by mistake. Without any shims I am at positive camber already. Pretty hard to get any caster with that. I am going to cut or get the proper springs in the spring. The heavy duty are about 3/4 of an inch shorter, it makes a difference in your starting camber.

I made the purchases. New UCA, LCA, Springs and Shocks will arrive the 19th. I hope I did not forget anything else.

I'd go with new shocks all around defintely, It would go good with that new front suspension all freshen up and then freshen up the rear for the next project.
