BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

I just pulled the 402 big block from my 71 C10 and noticed the rubber mounts on the frame are stamped made in Korea. Should I keep these or swap them out for some poly mounts? The driver's side is stamped #2395. Can someone tell me what year mounts I have?

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

They look almost new but I am wondering if I should swap them out for something better as long as the engine is out. I am not sure if there is something better, polyurethane maybe.

Your motor mounts and stands are 1972. One year only.

Look like the 1972 stands. Just buy some new mounts as long as it as apart and you should be fine if you are worried.

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

I agree, they are definitely 72 only big block mounts. A lot of folks get them confused with 73-87 mounts since they look similar.

The way you can tell the difference is by looking at the raised lump on them where they sit on top of the frame. 72 big block mounts like above have one raised rib, 73-87 have two raised ribs.

I have not been able to find a polyurethane mount for the 1972. Does anybody have a part number?

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

One more for 72, 73 up have two humps on the stand 72 have only one. Any of the clam shell inserts in poly should work as replacements for your mounts, the inserts are the same from 72 up.

71 Super If you are right about this I could get a poly insert for a 73 and up but would it still need to be for a big block?

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

I scored a set of these at a local swap meet sunday for $160. I can't decide if I want to put the 402 I have in my truck now

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

I used some extra inserts that I had from my 73 Camaro in the 72 truck mounts. Same deal.

Re: BBC Motor Mount, Please Help I.D.

I saw some Energy Suspension (pn 31116) poly insert mounts on the shelf at the local speed shop and decided to try them. The box said they fit a late model Chevy. They looked about right but ended up being too thin.
