wtb: manual trans tilt column

I have a '90 R30 dually with manual trans. PO put in bucket seats and now it is really hard for me to get in and out of the truck. Anyone have a tilt column for sale? I think '81 and newer will work. If anyone knows for sure, what fits and what doesn't, please advise.

Thanks, 72junky

Just an idea for you. You can use a colum shift tilt column too. You just have to mod the piece where the shifter came out. I learned this from a guy on here. To do make that work, just take the piece where the shifter came out...cut the "nub" off. Then you can fill that hole with JB weld and grind it smooth. Then just paint the piece to match the rest.

This may help you with finding a column to use in your rig. Good luck!

Thanks for the idea! Sorry for not replying sooner. My PC crashed. I'll look at my neighbors blazer to understand how much effort this will take.

Thanks,

That's a great idea Driveway.

It should be pretty easy to do.

I have a tilt column for stick, the bearing end in the engine bay is rusty, truck had no hood on it for who knows how long. Not sure I'm gonna use it, or what they go for.

I'm interested. Let me know. I can probably fix the bearing.

Thanks,
