1965 Chevy K-10 Burb Body Off Restoration

Body off ground up 1965 Chevy K-10 4x4 Carryall restoration. Since these photos where taken (about 120 days ago now) all glass is back in and new tires and rims (including spare) are mounted and on. Will upload latest photos soon. Power supplied by a crated Chevy Hi-Performance 345HP 350 motor. Transmission is 3 speed Turbo auto with a early 1970s Chevy front axle with disc brakes and a 305 transfer case was robbed from the same parts vehicle. Custom made power steering mounting plate was used to strengthen the frame with the power steering unit in place. Inside is almost all stock with the exception of aftermarket AC and cluster guage under the dash. Have all 4 original seats (3/4 front, 1/4 slider/tilt front, center 3/4 and rear full seat). Finishing up license plate light, dome light, glove box light, etc. wiring at this time. Will leave only the carpet and headliner to finish.

Re: 1965 Chevy K-10 Burb Body Off Restoration

All electrical except wipers and washer bottle are now done. Trans cooler and hitch are next. Then some more tweaking and detailing with sun visor getting a mirror, black lettering to the grill, glovebox (with light) and glovebox door emblem and transfer case shifter getting a knob. From there carpet and headliner will be the last things to do (restored original complete jack will be put in once carpet is done). Will get more phots up within 30 days if all goes well.

Re: 1965 Chevy K-10 Burb Body Off Restoration

WOW! I really like the color!
Very cool truck, I had one similar when in High-School for a winter-beater.
It was a GMC with the 305 V-6, & posi in the front & rear, and 35" Ground-Hawgs.
That thing would truly go anywhere that you pointed it!
You have a super-sweet truck there. Do you happen you have the paint code for that color?
I would really appreciate it!
