what is this?
Don't know where it came from, it was just laying around the shop when i was cleaning up.The reason I put it on this message board is, I got a bunch of stuff from my friend who had a '53(I think) and maybe it was for his truck.

It looks a lot like the brake linkage that connected master cylinder to pedal arm in my 57 truck, but not exactly. Mine had the two swivel connection looking balls, and the rod with spring with a c clip slot. It was also beefier. Similar but not exactly.
BUT, on the other hand my old 53 chevy car had sort of a similar looking contraption in the throttle linkage setup. More like what you have now that I think about it. How big is the piece - maybe take a photo with a tape measure by it for comparison. Obviously the brake thing was bigger than the throttle thing. |
