voltage regulator
I have a 6 volt regulator, the box says it is for a 40-55 gmc truck. Would this be a positive ground or a negative ground? The regulator has a stamp on it 6vp If this was a positive ground what would happen if I put it on my negative ground system? Thanks

GMC was typically positive ground system in the 50's. you would toast it connecting to a negitive ground system along with the generator. |

Re: voltage regulator
That's what the p in 6vp means, positive.
