door spring blazer

i have a 99 blazer that needs pins and bushings on both doors common i guess. what is the "trick" to remove that spring that is in the way of the top pin? not keen on big pry bar approach and then fighting it back in?

You should be able to find a door spring compressor at a local parts store. Here is what they look like.

borrowed spring tool and did both doors in just over an hour. left side was harder bushing came out with pin after much persuasion.
