WIW: 72 C-10 Longbed

Due to shifting priorities (I just retired from the AF Friday and my wife wants to buy a bigger house) I may be forced to part with my '72. I'm not sure yet so this is just a feeler.

I bought it here in Waco and have done the following work to it. I've driven it about 2000 miles so far

New Scoggin Dickey 4 bolt main 290 horse crate motor
New Jet Performance Stage 1 Q-jet
New Alternator/Voltage Regulator
New Starter
New Water pump
New Crinkle black valve covers and air cleaner
New billet HEI
New Sanderson 3/4 length headers
New Four core radiator and hoses
New Interstate battery
Rebuilt TH350 w/new torque converter and shift kit
Rebuilt 3:73 POSI w/brand new EATON POSI carrier
Rebuilt/balanced drive shaft
New ECE 2.5" Drop Spindles
New ECE 1" Front Drop Springs
New ECE 5" Rear Drop Springs
New KYB shocks all around
New ECE Super Track Bar
New ECE Rear Shock Relocators
New custom built dual exhaust w/x-pile and Flowmasters
New ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm
New Quick Ratio Steering Box
New Grant Corvette style steering wheel
Newly powdercoated ralleys w/BFG 265/50/15 all around and new center caps
New windshield and rubber
New door window regulators/felt/rubber both sides
New complete rear brakes
New Front Rotors
New Front wheel bearings
New Heater core w/custom AC delete blower box
New Fuel level sender in boiled out fuel tank
New TSC tool box
New Halogen headlights
New passenger fender well
Herculined bed

On the to-do list

Radiator core support, I have a brand new one. the old one has the standard rust under the battery
Drivers side fender well. Some rust were it mounts to the core support. I have a brand new one waiting to be installed.
Master cylinder/brake booster. Nothing wrong with the ones in the truck but I have a brand new one from another project and the old ones just look like hell.
Needs the seat recovered
Needs carpet

The truck has the original paint so it's far from perfect. It has the typical 40 years worth of dents and scratches. Nothing major though. There is some minor rust in both cab corners but the rockers, cab supports and floors are perfect. It had some rust on the bed floor from the PO storing rotting yard waste there for 5 years which is why I sanded it down and herculined it.

The truck runs and drives great, all the guages, lights and blinkers work perfectly, I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a road trip today, provided I could affort the gas that is :-)

I'm probably going to eventually put it on fleabay. How much should I put the reserve at? Thanks in advance fellas.

Here are a couple more pics. The aluminum intake and Holley carb arent on the motor anymore and this pic was taken when the motor and trans were sitting on my other project chassis. It has the stock steel intake and q-jet on it now.

Spoken like a man that doesn't have his heart in it.

You've done a lot of nice things there to make it a great base to finish with, but if you list it on fleabay, you're going to be upside down in it. I suppose you already knew that. Put the reserve at $5K?

Congrats on your retirement, and thanks for your service!
