basic gauge cluster to 7 gauge cluster

my 67 suburban came with the basic 3 gauge cluster...with the other 3 gauges bolted on a panel under the dash. well i bought a 7 gauge cluster and i want to swap it in, but before i do so, i would like to buy new gauges. my question is, how hard is it swap to the gauges in the cluster from the gauges under the dash (wiring, etc.)? and will the panel circuit work on the new one without any modifications (will it just be plug and play)?

also, exactly what comes off the back to remove the actual gauges so i can put new ones in there?

Re: basic gauge cluster to 7 gauge cluster

the cluster comes out of dash very easy.little button on top of headlight switch to remove shaft. the panel also comes apart very easy. just screws. all the guages can be removed. dont touch the face of guages. the paint will smear and attempts to clean will leave permanent marks. the wiring connector needs to be rewired. see gmcpauls.com for instructions.not sure what you mean by swaping guages under dash. i just did same project. any questions send me your email address.
