I bought a 2wd 72 Chevy swb fleetside a few months ago. Body is rough. Runs really well. I parked it because I have something else on the front burner. Some of my associates have commented on the fact that the truck has five lug wheels and rear leaf springs. Does this make it worth more or less? Just curious. I like the truck either way.

Most people prefer the trailing arms as they ride a little nicer. The leafs will haul a little more weight probably. Probably doesn't make it worth more or less. And all 71-72 1/2 2wd trucks were 5 lugs with disc brakes.

On the chevrolets, the trailing arms were standard with leafs being an option. GMC was leafs standard with the arms being an option.
