A good job by cpp and brothers

I recently called cpp for a tilt column for my 67. Talked to jeff and he told me they were out, with no backorder date, and i should try brothers, which i did. They shipped one out with the intermediate shaft required. After waiting the usual shipping time for an item to travel coast to coast i called brothers to see what the problem was. I talked to jamie, who told me it was definitely shipped and he would look into it. He got right back to me and said ups has lost it, and doesnt have a clue where it is. He immediately shipped me another column, but the last intermediate shaft they had was in the box that was lost. He immediately credited the amount for the shaft back to my card. I then called jeff, told him my problem, and he said they had the shaft in stock and sold me one at 10% off. It's sure nice dealing with knowledgable people like this who know the trucks and how to respond to problems. I also got a call from ups with an apology for losing the shipment.

Glad it worked out good for you. Some UPS employee must have a project they are working on!

that or the just wanted it off the truck. Ups was notorious for just dropping packages of at a similar address if they could not find the right one in time. I used to get a package a week at my old house that belonged to someone else. I go fedex if I have to ship

I will never use Fedex for the exact reason you dsescribed above. Lost a wiring harness for my Chevelle and the driver would not get back to the investigator. Fedex was not a help when it was their fault. Finally got the information in bits and pieces to figure out that it was "delivered" to an address that did not exist....at all! UPS has always done me right.
