Disk brake conversion
FOUND THIS AD ON CLIST. I THINK ITS GOOD FOR SOMEONE THAT DOES NOT WANT TO SPEND A TON OF CASH ON A KIT..I CALLED THE GUY AND HE SAID ITS READY TO BOLT ON TO YOUR FACTORY DRUM SUSPENSION.. HE ALSO DOES THEM IN 6 LUG.. http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/2170635659.html

I noticed that the other day but now that I look at it, it appears to be a stud that he has them mounted on for the pics.

I believe that is a stud he welded to that table to hold them up right to take the pictures. and rattle can them.
funny part is I just posted a set on CL today lol but these are not them and way over priced from what I was asking.

The rotors look like welded and re-drilled 5-lug "Mexico" rotors.
The spindles are stock height. I'll bet the calipers are "low line/priced" auto parts house units. I'm not sure how he addressed the ball joint/tie rod tapers,... but I don't think it's that big of a bargain. (my opinion)

I agree looks like welded and redrilled rotors, as far as the calipers, they look like every other set sold in kits except the baer or wilwood high end kits- I know the set I got from a board vender were parts store replacements. For the price you can buy from reputable venders and get support vs. joe brake man and be out of luck. Same kit from GMC pauls is same price - and the support /product is better more complete.

ya if you are looking for in exspensive disk swap order all 72 stuff like rotors calipers and power brake booster i can get all of that for like 200 at mine then spindles are like 200 then if u have 71 72 u dont need control arms if u dont u need to find control arems and steering componets

Yeah the more I look at those. they are welded and redrilled. Mine do not cover any of the stamp marks and also where is the grove in the rotor from factory. everything there looks to be replaced parts and modified.

That is a lot of trouble to go through to weld iron. I only weld an engine block I want to save and that itself is a bit of a science..of course Harris stingers now a days makes it easier
