home made cold air intake

well i got a little bored this afernoon and started messing with an idea ive had about building a coold air intake and i did this one for under five bucks which is in my price range all i had to do was go to home depot and get a 3 inch 45 degree cupling and cut up some extra pipe left over from the potato cannon i made a few years back and put ita all together and it works it didnt give me like huge hp numbers but it should help a little bit geting that colder air compared to the hot engine bay air!






so tell me what yall think and if theres any room for improvement tell me or just throw out some other ideas

I've seen this be done a lot of different ways with dryer vent hose, and whatnot. I think I would go with more of a stock setup. Something with a little more flexability that could be modified easily.

Looks a little on the ridged side and since the engine does move something may give that you may not want to, just a thought.

its got enough flex to allow for when the motor moves and sutff i checked all that out

and yea i plan to paint it black and run it till i build my 250 or find a resonable 327
