Suggestions for mounting cab

With the cab being just about finished, I need to start thinking about what is the best way to remount the cab on the frame. I have new cab mounts and in my wild thoughts is the following:

Once cab arrives at house life her up on 4x4 and cinder blocks higher and wider than the frame. Roll the chassie back under the cab and using 4-6 friends (who will feed and drink well!) gently lift her off the 4x4 set up and set her on the frame while I set the cab mount?

How did you guys do yours? I've been warned NOT TO USE A engine hoist or sling as I'll take a chance of bending the roof or maring the paint.

Any ideas will be appr, Pictures too!

Re: Suggestions for mounting cab

I did what you said on mine. I jacked up the frame and cab together, and put on tall jackstands. I stacked up cement blocks to put the cab on. Lowered the frame, then put 2x10's under the cab on the blocks. Then moved the blocks till they were wider than the frame and tires and rolled it out from underneath. Its not the best way but it worked. DONT bump the blocks with thw tires! lol or new cab on the floor! Ive seen guys make a tube to bolt to an engine hoist and center it in the door opening. Never heard of any troubles from it.Thought i had a picture but cant find it.
