Key cylinder on drivers side door

My key cylinder was working just fine until I put my new weatherstripping in and it won't lock when I shut the door all the way but, when the door is shut half the way it will lock. Can somebody help me find a way to get the door to lock all the way?

Re: Key cylinder on drivers side door

Sounds like the weather stripping isnt allowing the door lock to close all the way to me.

Re: Key cylinder on drivers side door

the weatherstripping is putting too much pressure on the lock mechanism to let it move...
you can try lubricating the lock, latch, and linkage, and see if thats enough to make it move..

I did all of that and it worked and I put a shim in the striker and moved it forward a little bit and put some pressure on the door and it locked. Thanks for yall's info.
