Its amazing how parts multiply like rabbits

As I continue to go though my parts - mostly used ... its amazing how many parts one collects through out the years as I was saving for my rebuild. But I am sure many of you have a lot more parts stashed away than I.

I don't nearly have a stash like that, but it does baffle me how many "spare parts" i have, and moreover, how my wife is completely on-board with storing this stuff.

Re: Its amazing how parts multiply like rabbits

I have a ridiculous amount of truck parts, I was like a kid in a candy store for too many years and just couldn't say no lol.

My 71 C30 has a noisy alternator bearing. No biggie I think I have three Ive hung on to. All three had noisy bearings. Instead of tossing them years ago I hung on to them forgetting the reason I took them off in the first place.

FedEx delivered a new AC Delco alternator from Rock Auto earlier today.

Do you hear the "Bunny Hop" tune, faintly in the background?

Re: Its amazing how parts multiply like rabbits

I don't have a large pile and some stuff I really need to find a new home. In cab tank, 67 stock spindles, etc. Stuff I know I will never use.

The biggest part hoarder I know is a buddy that is seriously into pre-War Harley's. The attic in his shop would rival any Harley dealership/maintenance department from back in the day.
