Where is the fluid fill hole on an H052 rear please?

I did the search thing and found out how to drain it from the bottom bolt. Still need to know what kinda sealer to put on the bolt when reinstalling (RTV?)but all Ifoundfor the fill procedure was a bolt someone took out that let there internals move around on them so I don't want to do that. There is no fill plug on the back cover so where do you add the fluid please?

Can you send a pic? It should have a plug on the back of the differential cover. Is it a smooth cover?

Every Eaton HO32/52/72 I have seen has a fill plug on the rear cover as shown above.

The cover on the second photo is on upside down. It will be way over full if someone fills it to the level of the plug.

Just noticed that. I pulled the pic from the web, so doesn't surprise me.
66 lwb cs.....is it the rear end in your 66? Thats most likely the chevy 12 bolt which will have a plug on the rear diff that you access from the top of the differential. Normally a 3/4" plug if I remember right, although have seen plugs that take a 3/8 socket wrench head also.

Re: Where is the fluid fill hole on an H052 rear please?

Here is my rear I have a plug the only reason I asked is during a search for same question all I found was a post where someone pulled something he thouhgt was the plug and it turned out to be something that centered or held his gears in internally?

Didn't want to undo wrong bolt. Thanks.

That plug on the back of the cover is the one to remove to fill the rear end. The plug you dont want to desturb is on the drivers side of the carrier. It has a large lock nut with a double D adjusting screw. This plug rides on the side of the ring gear to prevent deflection.
