Re: WTB - Two sway bar bushing brackets

Ok, I'll try and remove tonight. They are riveted on. Either way I'll let you know condition and diameter by tomorrow am. I only see prices for the bar and brackets together. Care to make an offer? Do you want bushings too?

Vintage Windmills

I thought these brackets just bolted on. I'm attaching a picture I borrowed from another thread to make sure we are talking about the same brackets. I 'm looking for the "U" style bracket's on the left. Again thanks for your help.

Re: WTB - Two sway bar bushing brackets

My swaybar is 1-1/16.

There is a set on the lower A arms and a set the mounts on the "not these" and they look alike. Do you need the ones that mount on the "not these" in the picture? If so, I took them off tonight, look good and would sell for $15 shipped with the bushings. Bushings are good shape functional with only minor cracking due to age. ".

Re: WTB - Two sway bar bushing brackets

Sorry to hijack, I am trying to install my swaybar on my frame too. The donor frame is a 67 model that didn't come with a sway bar so it has no holes for a the brackets. Do you guys know if I need the ones in the picture above "not these" or just the ones on the left "these guys" or both sets? thanks

Re: WTB - Two sway bar bushing brackets

Mike, you need both. The ones labeled "these guys" mount on "not these". The function of "not these" is too just act as a spacer block. Smorg007 already has some parts.

Also the rear set of holes in "not these" mount to the frame using the same holes as the frame member. You'll need to remove those rivets and put longer ones or bolts in there.

Thanks,
I have seen them mounted both with and without the "not these" mounts/spacers. In fact on the Bruce88 "just a pickup" his doesn't have those brackets. HERE and Here That's what prompted me to ask.....so if you or Smorg has a set of those I would be interested. thanks

Re: WTB - Two sway bar bushing brackets

I think if you lower your truck more than a couple inches you would want to do like he did. Stock they used both. I have a set if you want them
