Unhappy Cooling Problem

I have a 95 5.7. Had a leak in the cooling system and felt it was in the radiator. Long story short: I bought a used radiator from what I thought was another 95 5.7. However when I went to swap it out, the hard lines on the passenger side facing the engine compartment would not fit. The connectors on the "new" radiator are too big.

Is there a way to swap the connectors? Am I screwed (pun intended) and I have to get another radiator?

Thanks for the help,

Mal

Re: Cooling Problem

I believe there are adapters that allow them to work. When I got my new one, it came with them. Don't know much else about them. Perhaps you can contact a radiator company like BeCool to find out more.

Re: Cooling Problem

Ok, just in case there are others out there whose specialty has nothing to do with automobiles.

The guy at the auto parts store showed me I could take the connectors from one radiator and screw it into the connectors for the other radiator thereby making an adapter for my transmission cooling lines.

Felt a little stupid but happy it was a simple fix.

Nice glad you got it fixed and was pretty easy. I was going to suggest just trying to switch them haha
