How about expanding on your description?

But with the limited info, It appears like it's just the removable door switches on the driver's door are the cause. Easy to replace ($20 each at LMC)

There was a similar thread recently and his turned out to be a broken wire in the group of wires that runs from the door through the door jamb. With the age of the vehicle it's a real possibility on yours too.
Try moving the door open and close while pushing the window switch. Or swap the window switch with another one to test.
I had one go bad and noticed the switch felt soft like an internal spring had broken maybe.

When I got all my new door switches, I disassembled an old switch. They are un repairable. The old switch movement felt "gummy". The new switches felt crisp in the movement. My driver's door lock & window switches also effected the passenger door. When changed out, all lock / windows worked like new.

A good idea to get new ones anyway, if yours are old.
