TBI to TPI...

Basically my main question is, can I keep my TBI .202 heads and just go with the intake on up for the swap? I plan on getting the whole wiring harness and ECU to do it, and it will be 5.7 parts going on a 5.7 engine. I'm still "studying" on this

Re: TBI to TPI...

Thanks! I hadn't seen anyone saying the heads were different, I just had to make sure the easy way.

Re: TBI to TPI...

Just get an 87+up TPI intake, it will bolt up to your TBI heads. 87+up Corvette intakes use the older bolt pattern so avoid those, Just find a Camaro or Firebird one.

Re: TBI to TPI...

That's the plan, seeing as there has been an odd influx of '88-'90 Camaros and Firebirds that are TPI on CL. only problem is, they're all complete and running [even a couple engine/trans packages with wiring and ECU] and I don't need a running one. As long as it ran good before it blew a rod through the pan and I can get the wiring, I'll be happy and it'll be cheaper!
