Ebay is probably your best bet to finding them.

I have both in my collection but am not selling at this time. They do come up on Ebay but try www.diecast.org as well. It is a diecast enthusiasts site with an auction page and from personal experience everyone is good people on there.

I know one thing. Right now Danbury is making nothing. The Chinese govt seized all their dies. They told Danbury to up the pay and Danbury said it couldn't work. So,they force production to stop and now the workers make nothing. Makes a lot of sense?

Your right about Danbury Tim. Because of that the used Danbury Market ( depending on the model of course ) has taken off big time. Last March I sold my Danbury Mint 1969 Charger SE in Turquoise with the white vinly roof for 301.00 at auction on diecast.org. It blew me away as I thought I'd get around 225.00 for it. A week after mine sold someone else on diecast.org got 335.00 for the same model.

Re: looking for danbury mint 1941 and 1937 gmcs

sorry to hear about danbury mint, they made the BEST diecasts.could be good news though, they might relocate to the u.s. and give some people here jobs.not too likely because of the cost issues, but we can hope.i have located a danbury 37 gmc, just need to come to an agreement on price.still need the 41. i just missed a 41 on ebay, saw it too late.i will check out that diecast site as well.thanks for the info!!

Maybe over the next bunch of years the Chinese will price themseles out of the market for a lot of manufacturing and if that happens maybe Norh Americas manufacturing sector will start booming again.

Just a foot note here on the Danbury Models you want. They are more valuable in their original inner and outer boxes and if they have the Certificate of Authenticity and Unpacking instructions as well. If you have or can get an original brochure for the model you are buying that is even better. I 've passed on lots of Danbury Models because there was no paperwork with them. In fact just did yesterday on an Oakland Raiders 1972 Chev Cheyenne pickup on
Ebay cause there was no paperwork.

I have the Franklin 50 Gmc as well and think its cool. Didi you know the Danbury has a sweet 1972 red and white shortbox Cheyenne. Its older but still pretty nice. I dont often see them on diecast.org but Ebay quite frequently has them up for auction.

Re: looking for danbury mint 1941 and 1937 gmcs

I had bought so much of this stuff when it came out...all the Vettes,History of the American Pickup, all GM pickups/panels/Suburbans,Chevy cars,The GMC cabovers,Harley,Indian, and on. I've sold all that off except the GM trucks and motorcycles cuz those are my thing in real life. It's such nice stuff. I just need to build showcases to show it all off.

I have a Danbury 57 BelAire. It just sits in its box all packed away with a ton of other 57 Chevy "collectible" stuff that I have. I didnt even know they made truck stuff too.

Which one do you have as Danbury made a few 57 Bel Airs over the years. Would you part with it ?

Re: looking for danbury mint 1941 and 1937 gmcs

I'm not sure which it is. If I remember correctly its turquoise and white. I think I even have a 57 Chevy knife that they put out.

And while I dont have any of my stuff out on display I will probably keep it because my mom gave me most of this stuff for Xmas and B days etc back when I was really in to these cars. She passed back in 04, just doesn't seem right to get rid of any of it...unless some of it goes for big bucks ... LOL ... sorry Mom, just kidding =)
