Re: how about some 92/99 chevy and gmc jimmys blazers and burbs

Hi All,

I was part of the 68-72 forum for a year or so but sold my '72 (to Gcburdic). With an interim 1987 300TD Mercedes (that just died with smoke and oil blowing out the back at 245k miles) I'm back in the Suburban world with my new 1999 GMC 1500 - 2x4, plain jane Burb with NO window tint, manual roll up windows, vinyl seats, vinyl flooring - exactly what I was looking for. And all for $2,900. 132K and a dent in the driver's door (getting fixed ASAP) - but really clean, one previous owner. Anyway, good to be back. TT

Oh, and just to be clear, a '92-'99 Jimmy would be an S-series as the fullsize Jimmy became the Yukon in '92, even though the fullsize Blazer continued through the '94 model year.

My 94 4x4 Burb, used just for Winter Driving. Who says wheels and tires don't make a difference.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. I always wanted to take it a couple inches lower. When my wife and I separated in 2007, it went with her. With the amount of driving I do, I had to keep the vehicle that got the better mileage. She ended up trading it for a Saturn Ion a few months later.
