SPID Restoration?

I picked up this truck last week. A 69 fleetside. The spid had been painted over a bit. Has anyone heard of having these restored?

Re: SPID Restoration?

Try again on the SPID picture. Give me a left and a right half picture without a flash or at least a landscape format picture. Generally I have good success extracting information.

He's not real responsive. I sent him an email with my SPID and build sheet. Took him several days to get back to me, which is fine, but then he told me he couldn't even start on it for a month. I asked a couple more questions in an email to firm up pricing, when he expected payment, etc. and he never got back to me, and that's been about a week now.

Re: SPID Restoration?

Harold, is right, Jeff does have alot going on (2 little ones and a wife, full time job, a couple projects he is working on etc). He's a standup guy, he only started doing this to help out our madness, not to take away his free time. His work is real impressive, but if your wanting it yesterday you better find someone else (but it won't be as good)

Re: SPID Restoration?

Hey guys, lost my mother about a month ago due to a fall and have spent a lot of time getting rid of stuff and preparing to sell her house. I also have a new job that requires lots of time and travel right now along with everything else Randy described. I am sorry but my "give a poop" for the labels has been gone for awhile but it will be back soon and I will get the ones waiting taken care of.

Jeff

Re: SPID Restoration?

This is about as far as I can go without better pictures. At this point I need the VIN or at least the plant code and a confirmation of the developed partial shown to cross check the RPO descriptions that varied plant to plant. PM the VIN or if you can take better pictures in the 2-3mb range, then I will send an email address in reply.

Re: SPID Restoration?

Thats so cool Tim thanks. I will send you the vin. I looked up vin and found it was built in Fremont CA. I will get a better camera and try again.

Re: SPID Restoration?

Here you go, it compares very well with 69 Fremont SPIDs on both sides of your serial number. This should be good to go for Chipflyer. The abbreviations and spaces in the descriptions are as factory for this plant, RPO codes and build time frame. If you have any questions or feel there is an error please contact me.
