Was wondering if anyone knew where I might could find some caps along the lines of these, or any good looking caps similar to these, small style hub caps, or what kind is you guys favorites? Any help I'd appreciate?

Re: Hubcaps!!

Those are Camaro/nova copo hubcaps and can be found on ebay sometimes. I'm partial to the 87-73 1/2 ton caps myself.

Re: Hubcaps!!

Those are actually just standard Chevy car hubcaps from the late-60s to early-70s.Probably the most common cap there was. You didn't have to do a Central Office Production Order to get those. You just had to have a run of the mill base option Camaro,Nova,or Chevelle from about 68-70. They were also standard on SSs. In '71 they went to another cool style,a baby moon with a bowtie.

Re: Hubcaps!!

The ones in your first pic are Nova pov caps I believe, they always look good on our trucks imo.

my fave - 59-ish impala caps (also similar to late 50's vette) in the first three pics (the red truck is the one that inspired my search to find these somewhat hard to find caps - was very lucky to find a new, in the box set, at Carlisle several years ago for about $150. The rest are some other nice options...

Re: Hubcaps!!

I usually call them COPO caps too, but the COPO cars were just base cars with the 427 option (and other goodies of course ) .. So I agree with Tim too.

Camaro Dog Dish, COPO, Poverty caps, I've heard the ones in the first pic called a lot of different things. I just sold one extra I had in fact.

Re: Hubcaps!!

I have two like you pictured. Someday I'll stumble across a couple more to complete the set. You can't have too many hubcaps

These are the same hubcaps that are in the top picture on the left, picture taken before I restored them.

Re: Hubcaps!!

The caps in the above picture are what I have. They are from a mid 70's to mid 80's full size cars (police, taxi's and station wagons). I won them on ebay for like $60 and they were mint and the guy even threw an extra one in the deal. I painted the bowtie in the middle blue. Here are a couple pics of mine.

Re: Hubcaps!!

I know this is an old thread but justin36 those caps you pictured on first post are indeed copo caps. None of the others on this thread are copo caps. I have a set I can send you pics of.

Re: Hubcaps!!

These are what people began calling COPO caps once so much attention turned to COPO cars in recent years. No one was claiming any caps shown were COPOs. Just showing other poverty caps
