Am I slow or what ?

Worked all afternoon cleaning up and painting the bolts for my valve cover and the pucks that hold on the intake / exhaust, and removing and cleaning the engine mounts for paint. I guess if I had unlimited resources I could build it in a 1/2 hour like they do on TV

Try working on two like me. Lol. Course I brought that on myself. Haha. But yes, these take time.

Re: Am I slow or what ?

Things take time, especially when you're by yourself, limited budget, limited space and learning as you go.
On my build I didn't set a deadline, all I wanted was to do it right or try my best.
Nice thing about the forum, unlike tv, you can ask for helpful info and there's no commercials.
Things take time and that's okay.

Re: Am I slow or what ?

Cleaning 40 years of grime and rust off of anything take time. TV time is different...

Re: Am I slow or what ?

I have been cleaning and reusing a lot of the OEM bolts. When you compare those to what you get at the hardware store these days, well ....
