'70 Pontiac LeMans 350/TH350

Doesn't matter though, TH350 & TH350C use the same filters & pan gaskets.

There are 3 different filter medias to choose from, Brass, Cellulose, & Nylon.

Brass...Racing/Towing, Will not clog but doesn't filter much at all.

Cellulose...Well maintained Drivers, Will clog if trans is making metal or ran to many miles, Best filtering protection.

Nylon...Cheap replacement, Use if trans is worn.

lol... Usually, I just tell them the part number I want after I look it up on their auto parts internet site. In your case just look up TH350 filter at the Autozone site without a vehicle in it. PN comes up as 328500.

If they are that clueless about vehicles I would look for another parts store.

84 Chevys did not come with a TH350 I believe some came with the TH350-C. Since we make a lot of changes on these old trucks from engines to transmissions you have to tell them what you want.

Re: what year truck did a regular th350 come in

Well, I called car quest in my town which is the only other one, and they are usually FAR more knowledgeable but their hours SUCK.

Sure enough, he looked it up in 10 seconds WITHOUT a vehicle and then I asked "when do yall close" he said "6:00pm"...

I said well its already 5:51pm so take your bankers hours bull**** and nevermind.

What good is a knowledgeable man behind the counter if you can't hardly get to him?????!!!!????

Yeah, when I have trouble matching or finding a part, CARQUEST is where I go also. Parts seem to be somewhat better and somewhat higher in cost but they will go to the books if they have to.

Problem is they're going the way of big box auto parts stores -Advanced Auto bought them so I'm sure there will be some changes. They even have an internet site now which they didn't used to have.
