I can't help on the shifter but welcome to the board. Sometimes things can be a little slow around here on Sundays...

Re: T-5 shifters

I use the Hurst for Camero T-5. It comes with a short handle shifter that mounts different from the S-10 but I modify the S-10 handle to work.

Re: T-5 shifters

The hurst billet short throw shifter base that mounts on top of T-5 (closer shift pattern than factory) listed on e-bay is about $250.00. Hopefully that would decrease my shift throw pattern from around 6" (with 20" shifter arm) to about 4". But that's $250, are there any other ideas?

Re: T-5 shifters

I used the PRO 5.0 shifter on my Cobra Replica. Not sure if they are the same as used on GM cars as other manufactures.

Re: T-5 shifters

I planned to build a hybridT5 for my project dirt cheap as soon as it come off the rotisserie. I have A Camaro T-5 and A S-10 T-5 but the one from the Camaro has a short throw and the gears seam to be only a couple inches away from each other with that shifter. Jim

Re: T-5 shifters

The GM V8 T5 uses a different shifter than the Ford T5. The Nissan (280zx turbo) T5 uses the same shifter as the Ford. FWIW.

And they are worth whatever they cost the OEM shifter is so wonky.

Re: T-5 shifters

Yes I might have to just bite the bullet and get the short throw, thanks for all the comments...
