Subwoofer in Blazers

Just curious what those that have Blazers did for a sub. Built into center console, under seat, part of side panels, box in back? I'd love to have one built in a center console. I've thought about putting a modern Tahoe/Suburban center console in as those have subs built by MTX specifically for them but they're pretty expensive, both the console and sub. What did y'all do for your Blazers?

Re: Subwoofer in Blazers

I had a dual 12" vented box in the back right behind the seat sounded great. Took up some room but not so much that I couldn't still store some stuff in there. Just got to remember if your cruising or wheeling hard and you have stuff in the back make sure it can't rip the subs. I think one in the center would be pretty cool no sure how loud it would be or how spendy though.

Re: Subwoofer in Blazers

Yeah, mines just a weekend cruiser when the suns out. I think I'm going to look into a shallow box but one that takes up the WHOLE area behind the rear seats. I think with downward firing speakers the back or "top" could act as a platform so I could still throw bags of groceries, a cooler, or whatever else just like now. And since it would be carpeted just like the rest of the floor, no one would ever know it's a speaker box unless I dropped the tailgate.

Re: Subwoofer in Blazers

Pretty slick! But it's visible. I run without a top pretty much full time so stealthiness is a big deal for me.
