Pictures of 1/3 drop

I am looking at doing a 1/3 drop on my 69 LWB. So if anyone has any photos so i can get an idea at what I am looking at for reference I would appreciate it! Thanks. I attached a photo of how my truck sits now.

Re: Pictures of 1/3 drop

This was how mine looked with a 1/2 drop. It basically looked the same as if I had wore out factory springs. IMO, if you're looking for a mild drop, go 2/4.

dliving. I lowered mine 2-inches on all 4 corners. I used 2-inch lowering Springs and Gas Shocks from Early Classic Enterprises (ECE). It lowered the center of gravity enough that it improved my handling, but it also kept the natural Rake these trucks have. I was thinking about a 1/3 drop too, but went with the 2in. drop all around. I'm glad I did.

With going 2 in the front..did you have to do anything or just put in the 2 inch drop springs?

Nope. Just drop the spring, replace the shock as normal, put the spring in and Done. Very easy.
Personally, I think you should go with a 2-inch all around. You have a long bed and it would look really cool dropped at least that much. I wouldn't go any lower, but that's your call.

Re: Pictures of 1/3 drop

I dont really understand spending the money to lower it only 1". The visual difference is so minimal on a truck. I would recommend 2/4 if you want anyone to actually notice that its been lowered. Just sayin.

True, but all I wanted was a minimal difference. That and I was going to be spending the money anyways because I was replacing the springs and shocks.

To each his own, right?

Re: Pictures of 1/3 drop

I trying to decide on what drop to go with also so I thought I would just post here.

I like the stance now for this truck but slightly lower would help as it is my daily driver. I don't use for heavy hauling.

Was thinking 1/3 would make it about where it is now but after seeing 96blzr's truck with 2/2, it also looks cool.

Will I need to get lowering shocks if going 2/2 or 2/3? (hoping not because mine are new)
CPP Rear sway bar installed. Will I have to move and re-drill holes in my trailing arms?

Also plan on going with 15x8 rims with 275/60-15 in a couple months.

Getting ready to replace upper/lower balljoints and my front springs have helper blocks so I might as well replace springs.

thanks
